Digital camera sensor cleaning

I have a canon eos 20d and it's sensor is filthy. At wide aperatures i can get away with it if the subjects are dark. But at small aperatures it's a dead loss. How much should i expect it to cost to get it cleaned? Who will do it?
I'd also be open to cleaning it myself with the right tools. Anyone got experience with this?

If the sensor is filthy, get the eclipse fluid & swabs to give it a good clean, then keep using a rocket blower to keep it clean.

Some of the better digital cameras clean the sensor automatically. I have a Canon EOS 450D and every time I switch it off it cleans the sensor, I think it shakes it or something. Never a problem with dust on it anyway.
