I'd just move in. Is the builder going to call the Gards for you breaking into your own property ?. If you own the land, does the builder have any rights to the house thereon...I think not !. I wouldn't trust any solicitor that I hadn't dealt with on other matters. Tell him to get his ass in gear !. When we last moved house, the solicitor witheld more than he should have. He had given us a quote beforehand, but still took 6 months of hassle with the law society before he refunded the balance...no excuse, no apology...just sent the cheque via the society.
