Hi..
I am considering a visit to these guys, [broken link removed], early 2008.

Anyone experiences with them?

I need min two root canals done. Was quoted 1500-2000 each here in Dublin. 950 in the North. Even 950 seems a little OTT. If it is a case of making the trip for 2-3 days, is it possible to have two done?
I know travel expenses have to be considered but i'm hoping to get other work done while there so i'll be happy to spend 2k-3k if I get a complete job done..
I see a lot of Irish a travelling abroad to have treatment.. What other dentists in Budapest or other European countries can someone recommend..

I was quoted €1850 in Dublin for an implant. I did shop around (N.Ire etc)
Started the process, front tooth measured etc, removed and temp denture installed, handed over €600. A few weeks later had the implant installed, handed over €1850....returened a few months later to get the final tooth fitted, handed over €1600
Total cost was €4050 which shocked me as these costs hadn't been explained in the first instance. I felt robbed!!
However, the Dental expert was excellent and I feel the job wouldn't have been a success had in been rushed. When the implant was installed it took months for the bone to form and create a permenant foundation.
I doubt that going foreign and having months of work packed into a few days is the best option.
I know the cost is high but If I had to do it again I would still stay local for the backup service should problems arise.

Two years later I'm still very happy with my 9 crowns & 2 bridges (plus whitening) which cost me a total of about €5k.
Budapest is a lovely city & if you time it right you can make a nice holiday out of your stay.

I'm looking at a lot of dental work in the New Year, crowns & implants etc. The value proposition offered by Hungary (and other Eastern Eurpoean locations) is very attractive. It looks as if I could save the price of a small car!
Does anyone know of a clinic that offers initial assessment in Ireland? A second question is has anyone had experience of going to an Irish dentist for regular maintenance work after a visit to Eastern Europe? How did that go?

I was with these people for 8 days in sept last [broken link removed] and the very reason I chose them is that they come to Ireland several time a year for consultation.they also have an Irish guy working with them over there who does a great liasing job-smooths out any problems etc.The clinic itself is state of the art and the whole thing was very impressive-to me anyway.I had a lot of work done for 8000 euro.They claim-and I believe-it would cost 3 times that here.Example crown there about 240- here 800 plus.
They also have a working arrangement with several dentists here should any problems arise.Anything major and u go back at their expense.I have had to do neither.I would recommend it-and them in particular-very highly.
Do yourself and your bank balance a favour-check it out.
I have no connection-just a satisfied customer.

Don't forget that most standard travel insurance policies do not cover travel for medical treatment.
