Delay with the N8 CASHEL BYPASS & N74 LINK ROAD, CO TIPP

Does anyone know what the delay is with the Cashel ByPass?

I heard it was a handfull of local yokels but this cant be right can it?

I dont know what the situation is at Cashel but when the local authority tell you one morning that they are taking all or part of your property, that you can do nothing to prevent them, and they are giving you f*** all in return just so that people passing through can avoid being delayed for ten minutes on the roads in the area, come back and tell us how that makes you feel.
Maybe then you might understand the feelings of people in similar positions.

The Cashel ByPass has been complete for several weeks now. So I dont think its the land owners who are holding up the opening?

heard several rumors
1) though practically finished for the past 6 weeks...the local CC were not in a position to open it until Oct due to some sort of insurance issue. Project ran way ahead of schedule so maybe they were not expectig that.

2) need to wait for minister to do 'opening'


Landowners have nothing to do with the delay

It is opening on Monday 11 October approxmiately 7 months ahead of schedule.
