Hi all. I am in the process of a divorce. Built house on the family land. Deeds are in my name alone but mortgage in both names. Ex has stopped paying mortgage. He wants house for sale and wants half of proceeds. My question is if the deeds are in my name alone is ex entitled to half. Thank you
Nothing as straightforward as that, it will come down to other circumstances how much either of you is entitled to as mentioned above, job for the solicitor and if that doesn't work to sort out an agreement a judge will be deciding.
