Deed of rectification

Recently I discovered that a mistake was made when drawing up and registering the folios for me and my neighbour's properties. Part of my property is in his folio. He has agreed to have this mistake rectified. We are in the process of doing a deed of rectification. I have had the property properly mapped and signed by an architect. Can we complete this without engaging a solicitor if we draw up a letter, signed by both of us and witnessed by 2 people.

By all means, you can try but you'd be better off getting a solicitor to draft a proper Deed that will, more than likely, be acceptable to the Property Registration Authority.
