Decent lawn mower for 3/4 of an acre

Can anybody suggest a good lawn mower at a VERY reasonable price? Have 0.75 acres to mow. Only had lawn sown recently and it's due it's first cut. Baby on the way so money is not plentifull.

 

[Caveat]

You can probably get a self propelled Castlegarden (with Briggs & Stratton engine) for about €350 - €400. They have traditionally been a lower cost mower anyway, but seem to have come down in price as the combined mulching versions have become more commonplace.
