I have accumulated an outstanding debt of nearly 1500 dollars. The bank proposed to settle at 940... Will they lower this? (I doubt it but I'm not sure)
Also they only started sending me letters 3 years after I was "supposed" to start paying my debt. I read that it was 4 to 6 years for a debt cancellation, is it 6 in NY state?
