Hello,

I am recieving job seekers since April 1st. The day I call to post office to collect it is a Wednesday. One week I was unable to do so and it was still there on the Thursday to collect . I'd like to go away for a few days mid week and I have taken the max 2 weeks holidays aready. Can I collect on another day ?
I dont really want to ask my local office as the have been pretty inflexible to deal with on another issue , so I dont particularly want to engage with them / draw attention to myself

I think they keep it for a few days. Probably , need to pick it up Friday, in your case. They will send it back to the DSP , after that. Then you need to contact the local office to explain yourself.

You mean that you want to collect Jobseeker's Allowance or Benefit for a time when you are not available for and seeking work? Hmmm.....

Depending on age and situation you are in the rules maybe different. However as per other comments if you have maxed your 2 weeks holiday allowance then don't expect a huge amount of flexibility. Personally I would just be transparent and ask the local/branch office if you can collect a day or so later. If they say no then presumably money is more important than a few days break?

The rules are a little unclear. The holiday entitlement appears to be " absent from the state ". If you are down the country, visiting relatives or friends, you can pick your payment up a day or two later. People on Jobseekers are still allowed to visit friends or go and stay with relatives for a few days.
