Hi All
Looking for some advice in the first instance before getting professionals in to see how bad the problem is potentially and whether insurance might cover it.
I have damp problems in 3 bedrooms. It is worst in my own bedroom with two corners quite black looking and the paint in that area is bubbling a little with salt coming through. My house is a detached, stand alone house. It has corner stones (reconstituted granite) at the corners (under the roof) and whilst I am no professional, the thought has occured that they might be letting/have let water through. Do you think this is something that could be covered on my household (buildings) insurance? Clearly it has been there a while and I have ingnored it in the hope that it would go away (no basis in reality for this, just sticking head in the sand mentality) so will my current insurers not want to pay if it 'before their time'. If this is the case, will previous insurer (changed insurer after 6 years about year and half ago) entertain a claim.
Any advice very welcome.
