Noticed a small damp patch on bathroom ceiling that am pretty sure wasnt there a week or so ago. Our bathroom has a gable dormer window and the damp patch is where the flat part of ceiling joins with upward slope (hope that is clear!) in the middle of the bathroom.
Now we have had frozen pipes (outside not the attic) and they are now back working.
Firstly would it be likely that there are any pipes in the ceiling of our bathroom or attic considering its a dormer window affair?
Secondly could the damp patch be caused by water getting in through the roof if there was ice in the guttering followed by the rain we have had in past day or so.
I cant get to the area in question from the attic as the design of the roof means it is 'boxed' in so cant check if it is pipes or through the roof so want to see if I can potentially eliminate one or the other as if it gets worse will need to call out someone (roofer, plumber?)
