Credited contributions whilst on DA

I have just accessed my statement and even thought I have been on DA for 8 years, I only have credited contributions for the first and second year. Before going on DA I had 4 years of continuous paid employment with paid contribtions.

Do you think this is an error? should i recieve 16 credited contributions for ever year since?

According to the DSP's Operational Guidelines:

Credits​

Where a person has established an entitlement to the award of credited contributions, these will continue to be awarded for the duration of the period they are in receipt of Disability Allowance and for any period they are participating in the Back to Education Allowance scheme.

but, according to the Citizens Information website:-

Disability allowance​

You can get credits while on Disability Allowance, if you have paid or credited contributions in the last 2 years. If you are getting Disability Allowance because you have used up your entitlement to Illness Benefit, you will get credits.

So you probably need to ask the Department.

Why 16 and not 52?
