Credit check for new account

Hi Guys

I opened two bank accounts in Ptsb yesterday, I was already on their system probably because my mortgage has been approved and drawn down should be next week.

Anyway, I wanted a laser card and cheque book on one account and neither of these two for other account. The girl told me they do a credit check for laser card.

Can anyone tell me what this entails?

They probably check your ICB history. And if you are/were a customer of the bank before then they might also check the information that they have on file separately.
