are they worth the money and if so - where do you recommend we get nice white one

You mean a cot that converts into a bed for use up to c. 4-5 years old? We have one and the 3 year old is still using it as a bed and still has a bit of growing room left before he'll need a regular bed. Seemed like a good buy to us. I think it was about €150. Not white though.

Well given that a cot might last a year but a cot bed will last five years for roughly the same money, I don't think its too hard to work out.

Try Mothercare, Tony Kealy's or any of the usual baby places. Probably better value online also.

I got one in Smyths and it survived two children, in the attic now and still in perfect condition. Worth while investment, no worring about falling out of bed etc., as they are so low down to the floor.

thank you so much for your replies - we saw a nice one in smyths for 99 matress extra at 150...i take it from your experience smyths is ok to buy from so

Ikea do a lovely white cot bed with an extending mattress that Miss Vandriver sleeps in
