Cost of transflective laptop screen

Hi folks - I understand that there is such a thing as a transflective laptop screen which can be used in the open air, in daylight. Have you any idea of the additional cost of these screens, over and above a standard screen.

From [broken link removed], the models with transflective screens seem to be about €500 dearer than the standard models - would this price difference be typical?
 
Sony Vaio's come with them also (i think), yes they're more expensive. But they are mega, especially if you need to use graphic/photo software.

Are you sure that you're not thinking of Sony XBrite displays? These are not transflective - in fact quite the opposite - they are very glossy/reflective and not easily read in sunlight for example (but great in suitable lighting conditions).
