What sort of price should I expect to pay for grout and adhesive for 25m sq of wall tiling (in 2 bathrooms), 4m sq of floor tiling (in bathroom) and 7m sq of floor tiling in a hall? Should I get different products for the bathrooms than for the hall? In both cases, the tiles will be going onto marine ply.

Also, where's the best place to get this stuff? I am in Dublin 12 so have plenty of options nearby! Just don't know whether I should go to somewhere like Woodies or whether I should go to the tile shop, or to a builders' merchants? Have been reading other posts on here and am a bit 'confussed'!!

I don't know anything about prices but I know when we were tiling h
the hall and kitchen of a rental house that we got the adhesive and grout in Buckley's and at the time they were WAY cheaper than woodies etc.The figures are all a blur now, I'm afraid!

If you have ply on the Walls aswell you will need flexible adhesive for that too. Also the Walls and floors will need to be primed because the adhesive companys are not covering their products on ply wood Walls.

I would recommend tubs and tiles for this. I would also say to use the green slabs on the Walls instead of ply. It also might be as handy to have your Tiler buy the adhesive and grout for you as you will get it cheaper that was because he will get trade price on it and you would be charged full price.
For the likes of flexible rapid set which is for the floor expect to pay between 35 and 60 euro per bag at 2 needed. It will be the same for the wall adhesive if you decide to tile onto ply where as you could reduce the cost by just getting the standard adhesive for the green slabs which should cost between 20 and 30 euro per bag. As for grout the best stuff you can get is bal microflex White and grey. You'd need 10 kg bag White for the Walls at around 30 euro and probably 10 kg grey for the floors at the same price.
