We are thinking of getting thermostats fitted to our radiators. The cost which we have been quoted is €50 per rad (9 X €50 = €450) and a further €100 to ensure that the whole system is working efficiently.
Does this price sound reasonable? Has anyone else had these fitted and have you noticed a reduction in your heating bills?
Thermostatic radiator valve packs are between €10 - €15. they come as a pair, one TRV and one lock shield. Definitely will have all changed in one day. Think the €100 to balance system is a bit rich. It's like a mechanic charging €x to fit a new part and an extra €100 to make sure it works properly.
i priced them up the north the other day and they cost 7.50 in b&q in sprucefield. just buy them yourself and get a price for the labour, thats what im doing.
