Hope someone has some advice on this... I switched my waste service provider form Cork CoCo to Wiser last July. Part of their sales pitch was that they'd handle cancelling the old account. Anyway Cork CoCo sold their business to Country Clean in September. Next thing I know Country Clean took a direct debit for a service charge out of my account in December (I had a direct debit set up with the council).
After a bit of to and fro where the council told me it was my fault for not personally cancelling the original contract (even though they did stop billing me) Country Clean eventually accepted they owed me the money back, but despite numerous phone calls and promises of a cheque I'm still waiting.
Apart from the small claims court is there anyone I can take this up with?
