Cooker hood question

Hi,
I'm renovating a house and relocating my kitchen. It'll be a double galley kitchen. To make the kitchen work I need to put the oven & hob against an interior wall so I'll need to bring the extractor duct above the ceiling and over to the external wall. The joists are running in the right direction. Is this possible and what sort of ducting should I use?

drill a 5" hole from the outsude in with a core drill. Use a lenght of 110mm sewer pipe and push it tru until it finishes up at right location.
For the cooker hood use a flexible ducting and tape it on to the end of the sewer pipe an to the spigot on top of the cooker hood
This is providing there ino timber or pipes in the way. Good luck

Thanks for that. I was thinking that I would need a rigid pipe alright.

Have a cooker hood on interior wall. Mine is one that recirculates the air and uses charcoal filters to collect. Works perfect, in saying that I only use the electric cooker for frying and when range not hot enough.
