(Number of reckonable contributions or credits) / 2080 x 100 gives the percentage of the full rate contributory pension to which one is entitled. (Maximum 100%).
E.g. say you have 1,659 reckonable contributions/credits then that means 1659 / 2080 x 100 =~ 80% of the full pension.

The latest update, Mrs Nobody was on to Sligo today.
She was informed that she has 277 reckonable contributions and you only need 260 to get a reduced pension.
She will have this year to add, also she work as a volunteer aboard for a year and has applied for the Volunteer Development Worker Scheme.
