Contractor to insert ventilation vents in soffits

Hi,

I need someone to insert installation vents in soffits in 2 storey house.

The pvc soffit was placed over the orginal timber soffit a few years ago but the ventilation holes were never cut through the timber. Therefore no air is getting into the attic.

Will need this done before I get the attic insulated.

you would be better off to put 3-4 roof tile vents on the second row of tiles on your roof as you will damage the pvc when trying to cut it .

That's a very good idea and one that I wouldn't have thought of.

For a square house, would one roof tile vent on each side of the house suffice or could one put the 4 tile vents at the back of the house?

i wonder why they have soffit vents instead of tile vents in new houses.

three would do on a standard size house on both sides of roof ,that three on each side . thats what we do for fingal co co .

depends on what tpye of roof tiles you have ?how old is your house
