Contents Insurance + Rent Room

I recently moved into a new apartment and have started looking around for contents insurance.

I notice on 123.ie and aib.ie that they specify that it is only owned and occupied by you and your family.

What happens if you are renting one room out to one person under the rent a room scheme (while also living there myself)?

Would I still be able to take out standard contents insurane, or do I have to get something different (probably more expensive).

What do people normally do in this circumstance?

BTW in case it makes any difference, the room is rented to a profeessional and friend of ten years, who I shared a house with for three years at a previous rented house.

I checked this through with my insurer (FBD) and if you have up to 2 rooms rented out with a standard home insurance policy, they don't charge any extra and the policy stands. I never actually asked if their contents are covered but I would assume they would be?
