You probably mean covering them.....many companies have a tendency not to be able to find recordings when it suits. While they'll all tell you they record calls, they don't retain lost of those recordings.They will record the interaction so covering you in any event

Yes I'd agree in general but I knew who I was dealing with! Best builder/workmen ever, would happily have them back in the morning and hoping they will be available to replace my velux this summer!I'm not saying that you don't have to do this type of thing but in light of it being impossible to get reliable workers these days I would be inclined to get my hands on the proof of their insurance policy before doing anything i.e. speak to them first. If they don't have it or refuse to provide it you don't want to land up looking for new contractor at the last minute.
