You'd be better off following the tracks to the left when you come out of Connolly and pick up the Luas at George's Dock. Save you trying to cross Amien's St which can be very busy.
Though, if the luas is more than 15 minutes away you might be quicker to walk down to the Point.
Hi. Thank you both. On my way to Connolly now but have never had any reason to use the luas before now. A real novice . Found the luas website a bit confusing trying to work out this particular journey.
It's not much more than a minute's walk from the train station. It's the next stop. Just follow the tram track to the right. Or if you're a bit spooked by heavy traffic, djh's idea of taking the left turn to George's Dock stop might be a good one. Busaras is much nearer, though.
Why not get the Luas just outside Connolly to Busaras (1 stop). Hop off and get the Luas (from the opposite direction) to the 02. No road crossing, no danger
Because that would be a waste of time! You'd be longer waiting than you would be walking. Luas from Connolly are much less frequent. Best to walk to either Bus Áras or George's Dock.
