We bought an electric single over and hob and i was wondering are these easy enough to install ourselfs...kinda like the washing machine? Sounds stupid i know but just thought id ask.
This thread is about unwiring a cooker but might still be of interest. It is easy enough to wire in a cooker and hob if you can do other basic electrical jobs around the house but you need to make sure that the connecting wires are rated appropriately for the (heavy) load and of course switch off at the fuse box and double check for live wires with a phase tester before touching anything! If in any doubt leave it to an electrician.
