connect non HD ready DVDR to HD ready TV?

Just wondering can I connect a non HD ready DVDR to a HD ready TV.

Various books/manuals etc say I need a HDMI cable instead of a traditional Scart lead to connect it to a HD ready TV but there is no HDMI connection on the back of the DVDR - can I use a Scart lead or are they not compatible?

Your HD telly should also have some non-hd inputs, such as scart. It will work fine.
