Condensing Oil burner, dampness

Hi,
I have a new build and the plpumber installed a Gerkros condensing oil burner for our UFH.
Can't contact plumber now but I have a couple of concerns.

First of all on regular occasions the boiler has a significant puddle of water underneath it on the ground. Surely this is not right, if nothing else it will rust the whole thing (at least it is in a boiler house and not in the utility room).

Would anyone have further useful information on these boilers? ALso, I'm in the Louth area so would be great if I could get a recommendation of a good plumber to have a look at this and service it.
Appreciate any help.

Your installer either didn't pipe out the condenstate pipe or it is loose. When the boiler runs it condenses, this condenstate leaves the boiler from the bottom and should be piped to a gully. It is not a big job to remedy.

Ah, thanks a lot Davy.
It looked like something like that. So is it fair to say that this should have been very standard for the installer to know? He definitely didn't pipe it out!
WOuld this be affecting the performance of the boiler in any way?
Thanks
BTBL.

No, shouldn't affect boiler in short term. but if he didn't pipe condenstate, he may not have commissioned it properly.

Installer should have known this.

Use non metal pipe to carry condenstate as it is slightly acidic and will eat metal pipe over time.
