walk on then and see what you think, they are probably nailed down with a nail gun, that wont be enough to hold them with movement, they need to be screwed into the joists really in multiple places. When you say that the OBS boards need to be properly secure down, what do you mean exactly?
Wherever the cheapskate builder blew fixings into the OBS sheets with the nailgun.how do I know where the timber floor joists are?
you should be able to see from where the nails have been shot through.how do I know where the timber floor joists are?
I interpreted it as them buying a new build from the developer rather than building their own house.I presume your drawing down stage payments ??
I'm in the process of buying a new build
For context, I have the letter of offer from my bank, but we haven’t done the drawdown yet
It's cosmetic. Structurally it's still fine. Nobody is going to fall through that floor. I'd have no issue signing that off and inspect buildings and construction sites regularly. It's not a floor finish so doesn't have to be aesthetically pleasing which is the issue people here are having with the photos. How did your engineer not spot that ?
Not much point before the flooring is doneThat's the story with the skirting board? Are they an optional extra now days.
