Completing the Planning Process

Been looking for a document that tells me the steps you need to follow after you've got grant of planning permission. You pay you development levy, put in commencement notice, send back you septic tank supervision documents. You reach the edge of your reason but against all the odds that authorities and tradesmen stack up against you, you finish your house and move in. Your engineer certifies your house complete. Do you have to do anything further for the planning authority ?

The wisdom of those who have gone before would be appreciated ....

Your local planning authority will have a standard set of notes on this availaible for free in their offices. This will get you started at least.

I've read the notes on the web. They deal with making an application but nothing I could see about bring the whole thing to an end.
