company reducing workforce for a couple of week due to slow sales.been suggested we take time off at our own expence ,can we sign on for that time or claim tax back or how does it work
If the company has reduced your days to 3 or less per week and you have not looked for this reduction then you can of course claim UB/UA for the rest of the week. You will be given dockets for yourself and employer to complete which need to be sent to the dole office each week for payment.
