I worked for Jacobs / United Biscuits for over ten years, and paid into the company pension. Now I am working somewhere else, can I add that pension into my new companies scheme?

I did this last year. It depends on the schemes whether or not you can do this but usually you can. You should have gotten an exit statement from the old scheme when you left the job. You should your pension provider in the new job about transferring from the old one. They should handle it once you fill in the transfer form

If the previous scheme was a Defined Benefit scheme (i.e. a guarantee of a pension at retirement), think carefully before transferring out as you would be losing the guarantee. Even if it wasn't a Defined Benefit scheme you need to satisfy yourself that it's in your best interest to move from the old to the new.
