Commission only, what%??

My partner is meeting with a company tomorrow that is offering him a franchise for Northern Ireland.

What sort of package should he be asking for?

I'm assuming it would be commission only, what level of commission should he seek?

Should they supply a phone or other expenses? Would it be ok if he asked for a salary? (we could really do with the money!)
