combined tax credits, is it possible to separate them?

Hi There,

My husband and I are on a double married allowance which means or tax credits are combined (as far as i can make out). I hope to setup a part-time/seasonal business and My husband is a PAYE full time worker. We dont want our tax credits combined for paper work reasons and he wants to be separate from the business.
is it possible to have our tax credits separated?

and if so does anyone know what is the procedure ?

Hi Clarion,
You can change your tax credits according to your circumstance, ie if you of you becomes unemployed the other gets the tax credits, then when you gat back to employment they can be divided between you again etc...
Revenue are pretty helpful in telling you what way will work best for you and your husband to divide your credits so maybe just give them a call..
