I too am looking into studing a degree course (distance learning) in the states. Ive already talked to a representative and are sending me out an applicaiton form etc - no mention of price though as this also concerns me. But most importantly, are american qualifications recognised worldwide including ireland, australia etc.?
Not really worth spending time and effort on bettering your education if its as good as qualifications already obtained here. ie degree in states = diploma in ireland
Nope! I know that in Oz, their level of qualificaitons are less than that of here however when you go over they say that ours is less than theirs. All political bull if you ask me. But certainly though different levels here have other equivalents in other countries.
Thats why im lookin here to see if anyone knows how to check this against a degree obtained in the states as its alot of money to spend if it goes sour.
Let us know how you get on, Im interested in it myself but maybe in the future. Remember aswell, its up to you to secure entry to a University approved by Fulbright all on your own and I think there is a list of those on the site. You need to apply well in advance, sometimes up to a full calendar year, so keep an eye on admissions closing dates for the colleges aswell.
