Hi All,
I recently spent a lot of money upgrading gardens in my house(40k).

Cobble stone wall was put around gardens for flowers beds and looks great. However, when buying grout for area at entrance gate the supplier in the Garden Centre said I need extra strong to take weight of cars and suggested a particular product. The product was used and has now ruined the cobble stone as it has become brown instead of grey. Also, the grouting at entrance is brown and not matching rest of garden.

When I complained to Garden Centre they offered a cleaning liquid. However, I feel it was their mistake and they said the colour should not have changed.

I do not want to spend more of my time cleaning their mistake and feel they should provide cleaner and rectify the problem. If I clean it and make a mistake then I have little recourse.

This has already delayed the whole job and caused a headache. Should I go toSmall Claims Court if they do not clean it for me or what?

What does your contractor have to say about this matter?

Don't think the Small Claims Court will be any use because they only accept claims up to a value of €2,000. See here.

Contractor not at fault as he only applied it as advised. He never saw it happen before.Small claim court would cover cost of correcting the problem at 2k.Do i have a strong enough case?
