Close or not?

I have been dealing with a builder for the last couple of months getting all snags on a new property sorted.

We are now down to two snags from an initial 100 which of course I want fixed but the builder is threatening me to close or else they will start charging interest. They have sent a letter to my solictor saying they will eventually fix these snags after I have closed.

So any advice on what to do? Should I just close and hope that the builder will keep their word on fixing the snags or try and hold out until they fix them?

I am still waiting for advice from my solicitor.

Only your solicitor can advise you as there may or may not be a clause in your contract/building agreement stating that minor snagging cannot hold up the closing. So it really depends on the wording of your contracts as to whether you can hold out until snags are complete or not.
