Clearing History Bar

Recently got a hand me down laptop for my son. There are a couple of addresses in the History bar that I would like to remove - Have done the usual Tools & cleat history but there is one site that will not clear. Any suggestions?

Try crap cleaner or [broken link removed] - they are both free.

Just to clarify - it's CCleaner aka CrapCleaner and not CCCleaner.

just downloaded and ran ccleaner prog. Still few sites on address bar that won't clear. Cleared most of the history but left few. Is there something else I should have done?

If you are using IE, go to tools, internet options and under browsing history - delete, choose delete all

- I think this should do it?

I had the same problem, went into internet options, advanced, clicked on "close all unused folders in history and favourites" restarted and they were gone when I went back in.
