I was hoping someone could help with a question in relation to the rights of people paying Class S PRSI contributions.
I know that this class has fewer rights in relation to redundancy and unemployment benefit but does anyone what the situation is in relation to the state contributory pension. Do Class S enjoy full rights in relation to the pension ?
might be a bit off the mark lads, but just wondering how much would 300 pw pension be counted as ,in a means test, ie would it be halfed for your spouse , this is for unemployment assistence, thanks
Hi all, another query on Class S - if someone was abroad for most of their working life but returned, has enough PRSI Credits and has enough subsequent Class S contributions paid to qualify for the COAP (260 paid + average of over 20) except for the fact that the Class S Contributions were not commenced before they turned 56....can any back payment of amounts be made retrospectively?
Seamus
I don't understand where the credits came from as they seem to be prior to the class S payments. Were there any PRSI payments before going abroad, or am I reading this incorrectly
