A friend worked in the UK for several years as a nurse and a few years ago returned to Ireland where he now works. Is it difficult to try and claim back any tax that may have been overpaid in the U.K. Does some refund always apply when one leaves employment during a tax year. I know there are some bodies in Ireland that will do this but there seems to be a minimum fee of 265 euros in some cases.
