Claim tax back

Hi

I have realised recently that i overpaid an amount of tax some years back - can i claim it back now or is it too late- it is 5 years ago now ?

You can only go back 4 years now, so the earliest you can claim back for is 2002.

If a person owes the Revenue money, how far can they go back? 4years? Just wondering if it's equitable...or the usual?

If by "the usual" you mean as far as they like, then yes.
