Looking to buy and 2nd hand house in Galway and looking for a recommendation for a civil engineer at a reasonable for an engineers report on the house. What would be a reasonable price for this?

a civil engineer designs infrastructure such as roads / bridges etc...

what you are looking for is either a surveyor, structural engineer, architect or architectural technician.
My choice would be a surveyor.... or arch tech...
