I hear that greyhound are stating that anyone who doesn't contact them will be automatically changed over to the new plan anyway. Is this the case with city bin ? I have an 'all you can eat' contract till december which would cost me more if pay by weight is used. I received the email advising me of my new plan but can I assume that the old plan still stands ? Anyone contact city bin about this ?
Just received an email from them this morning confirming that my account will automatically revert back to current plan till January and then it's optional till July 2017 to change to pbw. I will give them kudos for letting everyone know and clarifying the situation.
I think City Bin missed a trick during the Pay by Weight debacle. If they made a genuine attempt to be competitive with their PBW charges they could have won over a lot of new business. Instead, they tied their prices to their money grabbing competitors prices.
Thorntons just have an announcement on their site that they're sticking with the €50 annual service charge plus €9.90 per black bin lift. So that'll see my annual cost remain below €70 instead of around €130.
