Hi,

Any chance anyone knows anything about either of following two courses?

MSc in Multimedia (DCU)
MA in Digital Media Technologies (DIT)

Thinking of doing one or the other and just wondering if anyone has any experience/knowledge of either of them(good, bad or otherwise)

Appreciate any info..

Cheers

hi,
i completed the MA in Interactive Media in DIT a few years back and found it good. (i think this is now the MA in Digital Media Technologies. At the time they recruited through an interview process once you attained a hons degree. They take people on from all different fields and as a result the course concentrates upon different elements, namely flash, dreamweaver, director practically. Whilsy also covering media law, media theory. You have to work in groups for a project to build a website and you also do a majr practical based project in groups. You must also compleate a written thesis.
positives: Good broad subjects being covered, good suport provided with applications, group and individual work

negatives:Because of the wide backgrounds people come from some are at an advantage when it comes to some practical projects having used applications for years, yet everyone is marked at the same level.
They tended to take pride in nobody having achieved a first

this said it may have changed a little since i completed it.
