Choosing Colour of Worktop

In the process of choosing colour/shade of granite for kitchen.

I always thought this would be and easy decision, "plain black that would go with anything" --not so.

Our kitchen supplier has told us that the jet black is hard to keep and any
smear/dirt will show up on it.

I am also now concerned that black would darken the kitchen too much.

The kitchen is pipi oak.

Any comments/advise?

Baltic Brown looks well with pippy oak. So do Stargate and Star Galaxy

I opted for venetian gold and glad i did....black was def out as its too hard to keep clean

Don't know about keeping it clean, but glossy black is actually highly reflective so isn't darkening at all.
