Chipboard for my attic

I remember a while ago seeing small pieces of chipboard that slip into each other and can be screwed down to allow you walk in and store in the attic.

They have to be small enough to get through the average attic door.

Any ideas where i can get them ?

I have a load of them that other half never got round to laying that are being stored in the attic

the normal attic ones they come in a 3 pack about 4 foot long maybe 1-2 foot wide. if you could see my arms you'd have a better idea

Ah yeah I can see your arms. Strange how B&Q in Athlone were charging so much individually.

Careful not to compress your insulation when flooring, could pop your ceiling plasterboards below.

Any good local hardware shop will have 8X2 lengths, bought some last month think it was 12 euros a lenght, check your attic trap size before you buy though, most are under 2 foot, the 8 foot lengths are easier to fit.

The first ones I used were that big but it's very difficult to get them into the crawl space in a converted attic. The smaller ones referred to earlier are much easier to handle. Just be careful that the end of them hits the middle of the joist! ;)
