The chimney is possibly lower than it should be on the side of the house and there is a strong downdraft most of the time which can make the room very cold. When a fire is lit the room can get very smoky, is there a cheaper way than building up the stack. I have tried a spinning cowel but it was of no use.
Any suggestions kindly appreciated
