Just had a nw baby (well me wife did)and was wondering what benefits we're entitled to.

It takes five months for child benefit to be paid for your new baby. ECS paid four times a year. Congratulations.

I got mine within 3 months of baby being born and didnt regisiter birth for maybe 2-3 weeks after she was born. She is 8 months old
 
Sorry if i misinformed anyone. I have a letter dated 3-sept-08 that states my ECS is paid on second Monday of April, July, October, December into a bank account. Wonder when did that change? Cheers for the info.
 
You will also be paid a month in arrears i.e. January payment in Feb, Feb payment in March, etc.
