Cheapest way to buy US shares

Can anyone provide some information on who is the cheapest Irish service for the small investor looking to buy US shares?
Had a look at the key posts and the commentary was a little confusing, also it was posted early last year so the situation / charges may possibly have changed.

Would love some input and direction from anyone currently doing this.
