VHI Cheaper Alternative to VHI Health Plus access (Plan b)

Hi,
My parents are renewing their health insurance and have been on Plan B (now called Health Plus access) for years. Just wondering if anyone knows of a similar but cheaper plan with VHI?
I know that some special procedures were covered under Plan B (e.g. tavi heart procedure) that weren't covered under other plans but maybe this has changed.

Welcome to AAM.
The following 2 VHI plans are similar to Plan B but they both have a hospital excess included, which means that you agree to pay 75 or 125 if
you are admitted for a stay or day case procedure, only in private or hi-tech hospitals. This excess amount does not apply to any public hospital
admissions or day case procedures. It is a once off payment on admission but if you had several admissions to a private/hi-tech hospital per year,
it is payable each time. These two plans include TAVI cover, like Plan B.

Details as follows;
1. HealthPlus Excess; price 1841pa; similar hospital cover as before, hospital excess 75 per private/hi-tech admission or day case. Tavi cover
included. Same day to day cover as before.

2. Health Access; price 1684pa; similar hospital cover as before, hospital excess 125 per private/hi-tech admission or day case. Tavi cover
included. Same day to day cover as before.

Cheaper plans would have NO tavi cover and 80% joint replacement surgery. Details as follows;
1. VHI PMI 44 16; Price 1112pa; all public, private(including private room cover) and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, hospital excess 150 per admission or day case. Limited day to day cover.

2. VHI PMI 43 16; price 1171pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, hospital excess 150 per admission, day case 50 per visit.
Good day to day cover on this plan, 1 euro excess.

The following plans also have No tavi cover and 80% joint replacement surgery. There is no excess payable on these plans.

3. VHI One Plan Extra; price 1582pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, no hospital excess, limited day to day cover.

4. VHI PMI 42 15; price 1740pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, no hospital excess, very good day to day cover on this
plan, 1 euro excess.
