Strange one.
I changed the direct debit payment date on my mortgage with Ulster bank from 9th of the month to 26th month as I get paid on 25th month and was finding it hard not to spend the mortgage money!
So, paid the mortgage 9th November. Then changed direct debit date to 26th and expected to pay the mortgage yesterday. No payment taken.
Rang Ulster bank today and they said it’s correct that no payment was taken yesterday as we already made a payment this calendar month.
So our next payment will be 26th December. So 7 weeks between the last and next payment?
Does that ultimately mean we will now pay more a little bit more interest?
